Today’s Equity Market News: Lupin top gainer

Sensex ends 66 points higher, Nifty @ 7,951; Lupin top gainer, up 3% 

The domestic equity market remained rangebound throughout Thursday before closing 66 points, or 0.25 per cent, higher at 26,221. Equity benchmark Sensex rallied as much as 275 points in early trade, as a slight jump in core sector growth print in August and narrowing of fiscal deficit in the first five months of the financial year gave investors hope of better times ahead. 

The 50-stock NSE Nifty50 ended the day with gains of 2 points, or 0.03 per cent, higher at 7,951.

शेयर मार्केट समाचार: निफ्टी में 0.25% की बढ़त

निफ्टी में 0.25% की बढ़त, सेंसेक्स 0.5% मजबूत

शुरुआती कारोबार में अच्छी बढ़त दिखाने के बाद बाजार में ऊपरी स्तरों से दबाव नजर आया है। आज के कारोबार में सेंसेक्स 26,431.8 के ऊपरी स्तर पहुंचा, तो निफ्टी ने भी 8,008.25 तक दस्तक दी। हालांकि, दिन के ऊपरी स्तरों के आसपास बाजार टिक नहीं पाए। अभी सेंसेक्स में करीब 0.5 फीसदी और निफ्टी में 0.25 फीसदी की बढ़त देखने को मिल रही है।

फिलहाल बीएसई का 30 शेयरों वाला प्रमुख इंडेक्स सेंसेक्स 118 अंक यानि 0.5 फीसदी की मजबूती के साथ 26,273 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है। वहीं एनएसई का 50 शेयरों वाला प्रमुख इंडेक्स निफ्टी 19 अंक यानि 0.25 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ 7,968 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है।

बाजार में कारोबार के इस दौरान दिग्गज शेयरों में अल्ट्राटेक सीमेंट, ल्यूपिन, विप्रो, सन फार्मा, टीसीएस और डॉ रेड्डीज सबसे ज्यादा 3.6-2.1 फीसदी तक बढ़े हैं। हालांकि एचसीएल टेक, गेल, बीएचईएल, मारुति सुजुकी, टाटा मोटर्स और एचडीएफसी जैसे दिग्गज शेयरों में 11-0.9 फीसदी की गिरावट दर्ज की गई है।

Nifty tad below 8000; Lupin up, HCL Tech, Tata Motors down

At 9.38 AM  the Sensex was trading 225 points higher and Nifty moved below the 8000 mark amid buying in IT, pharma and banking stocks. The 30-share index gained 537.99 points in two successive sessions owing to bigger-than-expected rate cut of 50 bps to 6.75 percent by the RBI on Tuesday.

IT leader Infosys reinforced its position as the top index gainer rising 2.68 percent and Lupin moved up further with 2.29% increase in the stock price.

Telecommunication stocks were trading under pressure and HCL Tech continued to remain top loser.

In the midcap segment, Jubilant Food, Reliance Comm, Vakrangee, Ajanta Pharma gained. High-beta stocks were seen outperforming with healthcare index rising 1.5 percent, capital goods 0.9 percent.
