Equity Market Tips with Ashok Leyland Stock Price



Hinduja group flagship firm Ashok Leyland sold shares worth Rs 299 crore in IndusInd Bank through an open market transaction. 

The private sector lender is also part of the Hinduja group.

Ashok Leyland sold 32,63,923 shares or 0.55 percent stake in the bank through a bulk deal. The shares were offloaded at an average price of Rs 915.96, valuing the transaction at Rs 298.96 crore, as per the latest data available with NSE.

Ashok Leyland stock price: On March 29, 2016, at 10:07 hrs Ashok Leyland was quoting at Rs 105.40, up Rs 0.70, or 0.67 percent. The 52-week high of the share was Rs 107.40 and the 52-week low was Rs 63.85. 

The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 3.07 per share as per the quarter ended December 2015. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 34.33. The latest book value of the company is Rs 14.40 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company is 7.32.

BPCL plans capex for upgradation of refining capacity

Bharat Petroleum Corporation is planning to invest about Rs. 10,000 crore in 2016-17 to expand and upgrade its refining capacity, finance chief reportedly said.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 876.75, up by Rs. 6.15 or 0.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 870.6 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 874.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 879.55 and Rs. 871.75 respectively.

The stock is currently trading below its 200 DMA.

9:30 am Buzzing: Shares of Kilburn Engineering gained 9 percent intraday as it has approved a proposal to merge McNally Bharat Engineering with itself.

The market has opened weak on Wednesday. The Sensex is down 68.30 points or 0.3 percent at 25262.19 and the Nifty is down 11.30 points or 0.1 percent at 7703.60. About 375 shares have advanced, 264 shares declined, and 25 shares are unchanged. 


Hindalco, Tata Steel, Hero MotoCorp, Bharti and Coal India are top gainers while SBI, ICICI Bank, Reliance, Axis Bank Bank and HDFC are losers in the Sensex. 

The Indian rupee has opened lower by 5 paise at 66.75 per dollar against previous close of 66.71 a dollar.

Wall Street shares were mixed on Tuesday. The S&P 500 lost 0.09 percent while the Nasdaq Composite added 0.27 percent. But emerging markets fared better, with MSCI's emerging market index rising 0.2 percent to four-month high, having gained more than 20 percent from its seven-year trough high in January.
