Nifty breaks 7650 | Stock Market Tips | Equity Tips

Late sell-off spooks investors, as the market continues losing for six straight sessions. The Sensex was down 274.28 points or 1 percent at 25036.05 and the Nifty slips 89.20 points or 1 percent at 7612.50.

Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Dr Reddy's Labs, Bharti Airtel, Hero Motocorp, Coal India, Vedanta, Tata Steel and Hindalco were down 2-4 percent while BHEL outperformed, up 3.4 percent followed by TCS.

Dr Reddy's down 4%, BHEL gains 2% | Stock Cash Market Tips

The S&P BSE Sensex started on a cautious note on Wednesday following muted trend seen in other Asian markets. The fall in the index was led by losses in Dr Reddy's Laboratories, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, and ICICI Bank.
 
The Nifty50 slipped broke below its crucial psychological support level of 7,700, weighed down by losses in consumer durable, realty, power, and telecom stocks. 

Shares of Dr Reddy's slipped over 4 percent in early trade after the company submitted its reply to the US drug regulator. Amtek Auto continued its rally from Tuesday gaining 3 per cent. BHEL gained 2 per cent, to become the top gainer on BSE Sensex.

Nifty50 futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange traded 29 points lower at 7,690, indicating a gap-down opening in the domestic market.

A fall in the US market in overnight trade, relentless slide in crude prices and tepid CPI numbers in China have also set the stage for fresh weakness in the domestic equity benchmarks on Wednesday. 

Most Asian markets were trading in the red. Japanese Nikkei was down 1.09 per cent at 19,280. China's Shanghai Composite was down 0.16 per cent at 10,339.
