Stock Market Morning News Updates


Nifty trades above 7500 mark

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.21% at 10,245, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.32% at 10,318. BHEL, Tata Steel, Lupin, ONGC, GAIL, ITC and HDFC are among the gainers, whereas ICICI Bank, HUL, TCS, SBI, Asian Paints and Hero MotoCorp are losing sheen on BSE.

S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 24,724 up 77 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,507 up 22 points.

Some buying activity is seen in metal, realty, oil and gas, pharma and basic utilities sectors, while banking, IT sectors are showing weakness on BSE.

The INDIA VIX is up 2.97% at 18.4150. Out of 1,777 stocks traded on the NSE, 946 declined, 434 advanced and 397 remained unchanged today.


A total of nine stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while nine stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.


The Indian rupee opened lower by 13 paise at 67.21/$ on Tuesday as against previous close of 67.08/$. On Moday, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, forex and money markets are closed on account of Maha Shivratri. All wholesale commodity markets, including metal, are also closed.
