trades lower; oil price slump, Fed rates in focus
Asian equities were trading lower on Monday after a further slump in oil prices
weighed on Wall Street on Friday.
US equity markets finished Friday firmly in the red. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 309.54 points, or 1.76 percent, at 17,265. The S&P 500 was down 40 points, or 1.94 percent, at 2,012 while the Nasdaq fell 111.7 points, or 2.21 percent, to 4,933.
