Sensex up over 200 pts; Tata Steel rises 4%, rupee strong
The market has ended with gains.
Sensex ended up 233.70 points at 27079.51
Nifty was up 60.35 points at
8189.70.
Tata Steel (4.2 percent), ONGC (2.9 percent), Tata Motors (2.8 percent) and
Hindalco (2.8 percent) were top gainers in Nifty.
About 1430 shares advanced, 1326 shares declined and 135 shares were
unchanged. Coal India, Maruti, BHEL, Sun Pharma and HUL were laggards in the
Sensex.
