Sensex slumps 190 points on global cues; Nifty holds

The S&P BSE Sensex lost 190 points, or 0.70 per cent,
to close the day at 26,845, while the broader market barometer Nifty50 ended
the day lower by 48 points, or 0.59 per cent, at 8,129. RIL and GAIL were the
top losers on the BSE benchmark, shedding 2.7 and 2.55 per cent, respectively.
